Obi-Wan vs. Jango Fett

Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Jango Fett. Another scene I love. I'll have one more of these (yep, you guessed it -- Episode III related -- just in time for the DVD release) tomorrow sometime, so keep an eye out. And Happy Halloween! >:)

Qui-Gon Jinn vs. Darth Maul

I'd been wanting to do a Qui-Gon Jinn vs. Darth Maul picture for some time. Qui-Gon's one of my favorite characters, and their duel (which, as you know, ends in the awesome Obi-Wan/Maul showdown) is one of my favorites of the whole saga. Now it's out of my system! I hope ya like it :)

Yoda Tattoo

I got an email today from a fan of my work (Chris Haave), and he mentioned that he loved the Yoda drawing on my site. So he got a tattoo of it!

I'm flattered -- it looks great! Thanks for sending me a photo of it, Chris :)

WW Texas Sketchbook

Today I printed up 50 exclusive sketchbooks to sell at Wizard World Texas. I think they turned out really cool (and I'm hard to please when it comes to stuff like this). They're full-color, got some new drawings, some older ones from earlier this year. Hopefully they'll sell out. If they don't, I'll probably offer up the leftovers here or on my website :)

Here's the final cover (actual size: 5.5x8.5)

Somethin' fer Texas

I apologize for the light pencils on this one -- I thought it'd be cool to post the rough sketch before I finish it up later this week.

Here's me at my table before the show:

A quick Maul sketch:

A Mace Windu sketch:

And a bigger commission I did for Sarah (sorry, Sarah, I don't know your last name!) featuring her character and good ol' Boba:

It was a fun show -- I have more photos, but this week is gonna be busy, so I may or may not be back with more. :D Thanks to everyone who came out and bought some of my stuff!! As always, I appreciate your support!

Tutorial & Comic Update

First of all, I wanted to point out that I wrote a quick Photoshop coloring tutorial. I know I'm not a color pro or anything, but some of you might be interested in seeing the steps I take. If you're interested, you can check it out over here:

Now, on to the comic update...

The first issue of "Drekodinn" is underway, and our goal is to have it done by the end of November. Originally I was going to do the whole thing myself, but as most of you know, I have a fulltime day job, as well as commissions and all sorts of other craziness to deal with, so "Drekodinn" will now also feature the amazing talents of Matt Goodmanson and Genevieve Routhier. We'll each be drawing a third of the book, and it will be divided into chapters, so that the changes in art style shouldn't disturb the flow of the story :)

The book will also feature some other goodies, including "Drekodinn" art by comic pros Dan Brereton and Jacen Burrows, and more names will follow. The book is going to take a lot of people by surprise, and I'm really excited about it.

So that's the latest news -- I'll be back with updates when I can.

And, hey, if you're gonna be in Minnesota this weekend, come see me at FallCon! :)
