The Battlestar Song

And here you didn't know I was also a songwriter!! Sheeesh.. Anyway, sorry to put more non-art in my art blog. I just had to once again prove that I am the biggest dorknerd of them all.

The Battlestar Song
by Grant "way too much time on his hands" Gould

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful ship
That blasted from Caprica's port
For an unexpected trip.

Adama's a mighty awesome man,
Apollo brave and sure.
The cylons didn't like our ways
So they blew up our world.. They blew up our world

And then things started getting rough,
The Battlestar had jumped,
But thanks to the courage of the fearless crew
To find Earth they're pumped.. To find Earth they're pumped

Galactica cruised the galaxy, tried every trick they know.
With Number Six
And Kara Thrace,
The drunken colonel, it's Saul Tigh!
The crazy doc..
Then there's Boomer and Tyrol, too
Good Gods, we love this show!

So this is the tale of the runaways,
They'll run for a long, long time,
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's an uphill climb.

Adama and Apollo too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable.
Those cylons never rest.

No hope, no home, no Pyramid,
Not a single luxury,
And, dammit, Laura Roslin's
As sick as she can be.

So join us here each week, my friends,
For all their highs and lows
Those frakkin' cylons never quit
Good Gods, we love this show!
