Lost EW Covers

No new art for you today, BlogLand.. Pretty much everything I'm working on right now has to stay hush-hush until my employers let me show it, so.. bear with me. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can post some stuff. :)

But hey!! I won't leave you without eye candy. Here are Entertainment Weekly's recent LOST covers, in honor of the season finale that made me drop a brick this past week:

Sorry, I know you guys don't come here for magazine scans.. heh :) The next post will be art, I promise! (But do you SEE how hot Kate and Claire are?!?? Yeeesh!!!)

That reminds me, did ya see the cool little animated LOST gif I made for my site? :P

Avengers Assemble!!!!

This ad appears in the new Previews... Plus Rittenhouse posted an animated gif teaser in the upper right corner of their website showing some samples... So, uh, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to announce anything yet, but you can probably draw your own conclusions. ;)

This set is gonna RROOCCKK.
Every sketch card fully-colored, baby!

Toonie Maul

I love drawing super-cartoony stuff like this. I can do it really fast. I think from now on at conventions when people ask for sketches, I should only do super-cartoony stuff. So much less stressful, so much easier. heh

Longshot

I drew this a couple months ago for Project Rooftop, a site where artists can submit superhero redesigns. It's probably gonna be a long time before they show it (especially since they recently featured someone else's version of Longshot), so I thought I'd give you guys a peek right now.

Red 5 Comic Announcement

I wanted to announce that I've been hired on as the artist of a new comic series that's being published by Red 5, a new company that's getting set to launch later this year. At this point I can't give away too many details, but I can tell you that the story focuses on the world of the supernatural, and it'll have kind of an Indiana Jones meets The X-Files feel to it, so I'm pretty pumped to be workin' on it. I'm taking on pencil, ink and color duties, so I'll be a busy boy. As soon as I can give more details or show off some art, I will. :)

Update & Gimli Auction

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. As most of you know, I was really sick.. in bed.. coughing up a lung.. all that good stuff. But I'm on the mend, and I'm back at the drawing table. I'll be back with artstuffs soon, and maybe some awesome news. :)

Oh, and I wanted to pimp out a friend's current ebay auction, simply because it's the coolest auction on the planet. 36 Official LOTR Gimli Sketch Cards, all by different artists (and, yep, he's got one of mine in there, and my Gimlis are ridiculously rare). That set is gonna make some fan reeaal happy.

MicroCon & The Black Plague

The Minnesota MicroCon was a lot of fun -- It was great to see everyone again (Darla, Kristin, Paul, Tanya, Michael, Alex, and anyone I'm probably forgetting -- forgive me, my brain is numb right now). Met lots of nice people, did some quick sketches. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and picked up a sketch book or prints. Good times.

What isn't good times is that almost immediately after the show, my body started to break down.. I'd been experiencing cold sweats and chills the day before the show, but then they seemed to go away. Must have been me going into a state of illness denial so that I could do the show.

Anyway, now it's back with a vengeance and I've got a really nasty cold.. or at least I think it's a cold. I can't talk because my throat's too sore, can hardly walk up the stairs without looking like a 90-year-old. It's pretty stupid. So big apologies to anyone who's waiting to hear back from me -- it may take me a few days to get back into the swing of things.

Back to bed for me. @.@
